It’s election time again. There may be only two measures, a school levy and a school bond, but there are many candidates –– with the vast majority running unopposed. The primary is Aug. 5.
U.S. representative: Incumbent Derek Kilmer is challenged by W. McPherson, Marty McClendon and Douglas Milholland.
State senator: Jan Angel is challenged by Judy Arbogast.
State representative: Jesse Young is challenged by Bill Scheidler and Nathan Schlicher.
State representative: Larry Seaquist is challenged by Michelle Calder.
County auditor: Julie Anderson, unopposed.
Prosecuting attorney: Mark Lindquist, unopposed.
County councilmember: Stan Flemming is challenged by Derek Young.
Supreme Court justices: Two opposed, two unopposed.
Court of Appeals judges: Unopposed.
Superior Court judge: Unopposed.
District Court judges: One opposed, seven unopposed.
Precinct committee officers: For Key Peninsula, nine precincts (18 positions), only one opposed.
