Staff Report

During its May 21 meeting, The Key Peninsula Land Use Advisory commission will focus on the Key Peninsula Community Plan with staff discussion with the commissioners.

Organizers said that no action will be taken in May, and said the June 18 regular meeting will be a study session on the community plan.

During study sessions, Planning and Land Services staff will describe the steps for the 2015 Comprehensive Plan review process and introduce the county’s approach to making the plan and its community plan elements more usable. The session also will include examining the results of the staff’s preliminary review of the Key Peninsula Community Plan.

Members of the Key Peninsula Advisory Commission will have the opportunity to ask questions about the process, provide feedback on preliminary recommendations and recommend policy/regulatory changes associated with the Key Peninsula Community Plan.
