Call for volunteers

Harbor Christian Center, Communities In Schools of Peninsula and other organizations have come together to support the efforts of service providers in the Key Peninsula and Gig Harbor areas by creating a Volunteer Hub to serve as a central location for volunteers to register. These volunteer lists will be sent to agencies and nonprofits in need of assistance. Each agency will contact you directly with details on what is needed.

Call for volunteer drivers

Catholic Community Services needs more drivers to provide Meals on Wheels for the Gig Harbor and Key Peninsulas. Volunteers deliver frozen meals once a week to help people remain in their homes. Meals are picked up at the Peninsula Lutheran Church in Gig Harbor for delivery every Tuesday. It takes about four hours. To become a volunteer, fill out an  application and background check, verify driver’s license and insurance, get a food handler’s card (online; cost is reimbursed) and go through orientation at Catholic Community Services in Lakewood.
